As a production commissioned by Societat Cultural Sant Jaume, within the frame of Festival Franquesa, dance and popular culture festival from El Maresme, Camí is a dance and theater full length performance which praises art within culture and tradition.

CAMÍ is a multidisciplinary performance where dance, theater and roots music are interrelated. The piece is a journey from the past to the contemporary through tradition, popular culture and more specifically with texts by Santiago Rusiñol.
Praising sincere artistic expression as part of popular culture and through it to highlight certain circumstances and social attitudes that unfortunately endure over time. A vindication of tradition and art within a social framework revolutionized and lost by the accelerated transformation and selfishness to which we are subjected; contaminated by the desire not to be left behind in what sometimes everything seems to be a race instead of an opportunity to live with freedom.
The well known actor Àlex Casanovas gives life to Santiago Rusiñol interpreting through his texts the portrait of an era. Playing on stage with Nathalia Gómez - dancer - text and movement will make us travel the way of popular culture claiming the tradition as the essence that keeps us in constant transformation.
