SHAKESPEARE SONNETS

Shakespeare Sonnets is the first full length work commissioned by a large company as the Hamburg Ballett. Premiered in the Staatsoper Hamburg as the opening of the XLV Ballett-Tage in 2019.

"Inspired by the Sonnets from Shakespeare and its themes such as love, beauty, time, death, fear, possession, acceptance... aspects of us that shape us and our society. As I understand, a plastic society that keeps building itself day by day, and describes how we perceive this existence and how we react to it, making constant choices about how we live our lives."
